October 2017 Anticipated New Releases

I’m a few days early with my October picks but I figure it’s worth the head start. If you don’t like it, feel free to drop a comment or an email at booksbyviolet@gmail.com. Fair warning, I’m going to be reading as much as possible over the next month because come November 1st, NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) commences and I will be making with my own words more than reading other authors.

As always, I’m including affiliate links to Amazon. There is no extra charge to purchase through these links but we may receive a small commission for the referral. If you just click on the book cover you’ll be redirected to the purchase page for each book. Again, there is no extra charge to you but you may help us out a little while scoring yourself a new read!

October 2017 Anticipated New Releases

Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard: Ship of the Dead

by Rick Riordan

Release date: 10/3/17

I loved the first book but haven’t read the second yet. Judging by the chapter titles alone, books two and three are going to be fantastic. Sarcasm, mythology, and adventure – I don’t think it can go wrong.

Things Are What You Make of Them: Life Advice For Creatives

by Adam J. Kurtz

Release Date: 10/3/17

I think the title says it all here. I’m a writer, I read a lot of books about writing and creativity. Score.

The Dirty Book Club

by Lisi Harrison

Release Date: 10/10/17

I’m going out on a limb on this one but it sounds interesting. Woman gets new life with new friend then new friend leaves but not without passing on a legacy. Why not?

UPDATE: Check out my review on The Dirty Book Club.
