Honestly, I don’t even know where to begin on The Night Circus. It is heartbreakingly beautiful from the decadence of the circus to the interpersonal relationships. Yes, it is a romance. No, it is not typical. There are so many different levels of love and loss to experience in this book and I am ready to take the journey again. I suppose I shall have to wait until my daughter is ready to read it so I can experience it with her.
Essentially, two ancient magicians select apprentices to train and then pit against each other in a winner-take-all contest. The rules are vague at best and the competitors largely kept in the dark. Of course, it’s not the first competition of its kind. This one is simply set on a grander scale with the help of some talented individuals. Thus, the Night Circus is born.
I confess that I re-read several parts because I simply could not help myself. This is how stories should be told, how mysteries should unfold.

The Verdict on The Night Circus
This book nearly hit the coveted 5-star rating for me. I’m still considering it. Maybe when I read this one again with my kiddo I will change my rating. It’s that good. Summit Entertainment holds the rights so there are discussions for a movie – SQUEE!
