Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie

I recently read my first Agatha Christie book (And Then There Were None) and opted to seek out some more. With the pending release of a theatrical version laden with current stars, my selection is hardly a surprise – Murder on the Orient Express.

Stuck on a train with a group of strangers, one passenger asks Hercule Poirot for protection. The famous detective refuses but naturally, the passenger falls victim to a brutal stabbing. A real mystery chock full of memorable characters that asks you dig through plentiful clues, discard the red herrings, and solve a murder. When everybody is a suspect with no place to run, how will Hercule Poirot discover whodunit?

Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie
Looking forward to the movie and seeing these characters brought to life by the likes of Kenneth Branagh, Michelle Pfeiffer, Johnny Depp, Dame Judi Dench, and Willem Dafoe (swoon). I hope they do the book justice, not an easy feat for book to film translations.

The Verdict on Murder on the Orient Express

Fantastic mystery, a true classic that keeps you guessing and marveling at Hercule Poirot’s magnificent deductive skills. They don’t write ’em like this anymore.
